Charlotte Moore Patrick, died Oct. 16, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Patrick was born in Macon, Ga. on March 30, 1907. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Moore of Monticello, Fla. She married G. Serpell Patrick in February 1935. She was with him during his naval career in many parts of the world, including China, the Phillipines, the Netherlands, Hawaii, California, Rhode Island and Virginia. After many years of residence in the Washington, D.C. area, she and her husband moved to Virginia Beach when Rear Admiral Patrick retired in 1964. She was one of the founders with Mrs. Arliegh Burke of the Naval Officers Wives organization of Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Virginia Beach Hospital Woman's Auxillary and the Garden Club of Virginia Beach. Mrs. Patrick was also a member of Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband, Rear Admiral G. Serpell Patrick, USN Ret. of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Jane Patrick McJennett and her husband, John F. McJennett of Providence, R.I.; and two granddaughters, Patricia McJennett Scott and Megan McJennett.
A church service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 1994 in Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church by the Rev. Andrew MacBeth. Burial will be in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery in Virginia Beach. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
