RUTH C. ASHFORD

Ruth C. Ashford, of the 3300 block of Marne Ave., died Oct. 13, 1994.

Mrs. Ashford was born in Norfolk County. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and Usher Board 1. She was a member of Daughters of Elks I.B.P.O.E.W. Temple 1A Grand Temple Elks of the World and the Councile of the World.

Survivors include a son, Gregory L. Ashford of Norfolk; two brothers, Joseph Cuffee of Virginia Beach and James E. Cuffee Sr. of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Shiloh Baptist Church by the Rev. John H. Foster. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
