Elizabeth Nanney ``Betty'' Allred, 74, of the 400 block of Normandy Court, owner of Betty's Christian Florist, died Oct. 16, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Allred was born in Black Mountain, N.C. She was a member of Gateway Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John M. Allred of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Sandie Allred Woodard of Norfolk; two sons, John Stanley Allred of Youngstown, Ohio and David Martin Allred of Waterford, Conn.; a sister, Kathleen Creasman of Ashville, N.C.; a brother, Cline Jordan of Black Mountain, N.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Gateway Free Will Baptist Church by the Rev. Dale Burten and the Rev. Howard Bass. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall, Kempsville Chapel, 5184 Princess Anne Road, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
