Flip on the radio any weekday between 3 and 7 p.m., surf the FM channels and you'll be hard-pressed not to stop at 93.7. The booming voice of announcer Les Wooten is a sure-fire stopper and one reason he's been with The Coast since it first hit the airwaves three years ago. The Williamsburg native, who attended high school with Bruce Hornsby and remains a personal friend, has been a local fixture on the radio dial for 17 years.
Besides radio, Wooten also knows how to throw a party. The past two summers he's been hosting an after-work bash for several thousand partygoers each Wednesday and Friday evening at the Duck-In, broadcasting live from the restaurant on the Bay.
