Captain W.C. ``Jack'' Rowell Jr., 36, of the 2200 block of Pleasure House Road, died Oct. 18, 1994, in his home.
Mr. Rowell was born in Norfolk and was Protestant by faith. He was captain of the cruise boat Discovery and was employed with Brownings Marine. He was a member of Atlantic Coastal Conservation Association.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Rowell; a daughter, Lauren Ashley Rowell; a son, Thomas David Rowell; his mother, Judy Marie Sherian; father, W.C. ``Jack'' Rowell Sr.; stepmother, Vicki Rowell; sister, Susan Doyle and two brothers, David and Kevin Rowell, all of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Sherian of Chesapeake; paternal grandmother, Dorothy A. Thomas of Norfolk; and a host of other family members.
A funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at 1941 Grey Friars Chase, Virginia Beach. Altmeyer Funeral home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk.
