DORIS D. GWALTNEY

Doris Darden Gwaltney, 82, of Moonlight Road, died Monday, Oct. 17, 1994, in Riverside Convalescent Center.

Mrs. Gwaltney, a native of Isle of Wight County, was a homemaker and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Horace D. Gwaltney.

Survivors include a daughter, Aileen G. Edwards of Smithfield; a son, H. Dwight Gwaltney of Smithfield; two sisters, Lois D. Bond of Carrollton and Agnes D. Woolman of Smithfield; a brother, John Robert Darden Jr. of Smithfield; grandchildren, Jeanett E. Connell, Diana Donaldson, Megan E. Gwaltney, Steven W. Edwards, Mark A. Edwards, Joseph G. Edwards, Albert A. Edwards, James A. Donaldson and Casey N. Edwards; and great-grandchildren, Patricia Edwards, Dwayne Connell and Amanda Edwards, all of Smithfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bethany United Methodist Church, Smithfield, by the Rev. Bob White and the Rev. Jay Ashby. Burial will be in Bethany Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home and suggest memorial donations may be made to the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 97, Smithfield, Va. 23431-0097.
