William Darden, 87, of the 1500 block of Mount Vernon Ave., died Oct. 17, 1994, in Manning Convalescent Home.
Mr. Darden was born in Franklin, Va. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie P. Darden; three daughters, Mamie Drew and Wilhelmenia Reed, both of Portsmouth, and Doris C. King of Canada; a brother, James E. Darden of Hampton; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one cousin, Dorothy DeSue of Portsmouth; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4050 Elliott Ave., Portsmouth. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at noon today in Corprew Funeral Home.
