Ruth Bernice Douglas of the 1100 block of Holt St., a retired nurse, died Oct. 16, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Douglas was born in Norfolk and was the widow of Herman Douglas. She was retired from King's Daughters Hospital after 20 years. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Norfolk and Tidewater Nursing Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Spence, and son-in-law, Albert Spence, of Dale City, Va.; two grandchildren; and a stepdaughter, Viola Hargrove of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Mount Zion Baptist Church by Dr. Charles H. Hart. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will be at Fitchett Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday and will meet at the church at 11:45 a.m. Friday.
