If Virginians are gullible enough to believe the half-truths, outright lies, mis- and disinformation of Ollie North, an experienced opportunist, supreme con-artist and a living symbol of perfidy, and if Virginians elect as senator this crook Ollie North, who is publically disavowed by many leaders of the GOP, former colleagues, classmates, the military and the Reagan administration (examples, Sen. John Warner, Gen. Colin Powell, Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf, Gen. Brent Scowcroft, former Navy Secretary James Webb, former National Security Adviser Robert McFarlane, Mike Deaver, Richard Armitage, Sen. John Singlaub, plus Eagleburger, Barnard, Cowan, Mrs. Casey and even Ronald Reagan:
Then our state will surely get what it deserves; the scorn and ridicule of every thinking American, who will look with disdain and pity upon our proud, historically honorable and illustrious Old Dominion as a farcical sideshow in a carnival of fools, featuring the machinations of a ludicrous water-spewing, comical, inept senator together with a cowboy-booted, tobacco-chewing, tobacco-spitting governor - what a pair!
