LEROY T. WHITE

Leroy Thomas White, of the 1600 block of Elm Ave., died Oct. 18, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. White was born in Norfolk. He had retired from NMU as a merchant seaman and Norshipco as a rigger. He was a member of Christ Cathedral COGIC. He was a 1951 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley O. White; three daughters, Phyllis White Harrison and Linda W. Washington, both of Norfolk, and LeRoyal T. White of Chesapeake; his mother, Annie S. White of Norfolk; two sisters, Annie Thorogood and Shirley Knight of Norfolk; two brothers, Samuel E. White Sr. of Chesapeake and Rutherford H. Roane Jr. of Leeds, England; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Christ Cathedral COGIC by the Rev. Tony L. McNair. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
