Gillie Ann Drawdy, 81, widow of Daniel H. Drawdy, died Monday night, Oct. 17, 1994, in a local hospital following an illness.
Mrs. Drawdy was born in Chesterfield County, a daughter of the late Jack Bailey and Mary Teal Gainey. She was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church and was associated with the American Tobacco Company in Charleston, S.C., until her retirement.
Surviving are four daughters, Martha Jean Starr of Almonte Springs, Fla., Betty Ann Cole of Perryville, Mo., Wanda K. Ludolph of Portland, Ore., and Julie A. McEver of Cherryhill, N.J.; two sons, William D. Lynch of Manning, S.C., and Clyde T. Hunter of Anderson, S.C.; two sisters, Nora D. Lambert and Minnie Lee Lloyd, both of Hartsville; a brother, Tommy C. Gainey of Hartsville; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Chapel, Hartsville, with the Rev. Dr. Don Purvis officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Holland Cemetery, Holland, Va. Visitaiton will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Pennington Atkins Funeral Home.
