Resource Bank's third-quarter earnings rose 103.7 percent thanks to growth. The Virginia Beach-based bank with one office in that city made $189,991 in the quarter ended Sept. 30, up from $93,284 in the same period a year ago. The bank attributed the doubled earnings to an increase in earning assets. Its assets rose 42.5 percent to $61.1 million as of Sept. 30 from a year earlier and its loans climbed 30 percent to $36.7 million during the same period. by CNB
