TURKEY BOWL CLASSIC: The 19th Annual Turkey Bowl Classic, presented by Sakkara Temple, will be held Friday and Saturday.
A football game between Churchland and Booker T. Washington high schools is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Churchland. The 1994-95 Turkey Bowl Queen will be crowned at halftime.
A parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday down London Boulevard. Circuit Judge Johnny E. Morrison will be the parade marshall.
Proceeds will benefit medical research at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.
CAUSEWAY FUND-RAISER: A barbecue fund-raiser to keep the Caroline Avenue causeway open, sponsored by the Portsmouth Council of Civic Leagues, will be held from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at King Street and Caroline Avenue (near Brown's Grocery).
The fund-raiser was not held last Saturday as scheduled due to inclement weather. Dinners are $3.50 each or two for $6. Call 488-4643 or 393-0388 for information. by CNB
