AUTHORS TO SPEAK

Dannion Brinkley, author of the best-selling book ``Saved by the Light,'' will speak at a four-day conference on near-death experiences Oct. 27 to 30 at the A.R.E. Conference Center, 67th and Atlantic Avenue.

Brinkley will be joined by Dr. Raymond Moody author of ``Life After Life,'' John Van Auken, Carolyn Gelone and Hazel Denning for ``Life Everlasting - Taking a Closer Look at the Near-Death Experience.''

Lightning struck Brinkley in 1975 while he was talking on the phone with a friend during a thunderstorm. He was thrown across the room and was clinically dead for 28 minutes. Originally, he told his story to near-death studies pioneer Moody, whose book was published on the phenomenon of near-death experiences.

A book signing also will be held by Brinkley on Oct. 28 at 4:30 p.m. at the A.R.E. Bookstore; and at noon Oct. 29 at the Ramada Inn Oceanside Tower, 57th Street and Atlantic.

Preregistration is required. For more information, call the conference registrar at 428-3588. by CNB
