CHARLES W. MORRIS

Charles William Morris, 66, a retired central office repairman, died Oct. 19, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Morris was born in Norfolk. He retired from C&P Telephone Co. after 38 years, was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk, Communication Workers of America and Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a member of Bayside Lions Club and was Lion of the Year for 1994 for the Bayside club. He was the widower of Mabel W. Morris.

Survivors include a daughter, Neda M. Spivey of Virginia Beach; two sons, Charles H. Morris of Tyner, N.C., and Robert W. Morris of Virginia Beach; a sister, Ethel Neal of Norfolk; two grandchildren, William Bastianelli and Meagan Spivey and a great-grandchild, William Anthony Bastianelli, all of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Alan G. Reifsnyder. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Lions Club Sight Conservation Project.
