Elsie May White, 81, of Circle Drive, died Oct. 20, 1994, in Newport News.
Mrs. White was born in Princess Anne County. She was a member of First Church of God and volunteered for the American Cancer Society, the Red Cross and the March of Dimes and was a member of Poquoson Woman's Club. Mr. and Mrs. White were both active in the Khedive Temple of Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Rodney Clayton White Jr.; a daughter, Nina M. Hitt of Poquoson; two sons, Rodney C. White III of Surry and Donald Lee White of Hayes; a brother, Ryland Linwood Eaton of Virginia Beach; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Warren Chapman. The family will receive friends in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
