John W. Bunting Jr., 42, died in Virginia Beach on Oct. 19, 1994.
Mr. Bunting, the son of Capt. John W. Bunting, USNR (Ret.), and May Lawrence Showard Bunting, deceased, was born in Norfolk, Dec. 4, 1951. He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Fairfax County, class of 1972. He attended Eastern Shore Community College and CDI in Virginia Beach. Mr. Bunting worked in broadcasting in Maryland and Virginia, and the catering and restaurant business in Atlanta, Ga., and the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area.
Mr. Bunting is survived by his father, Capt. John W. Bunting, and his brother, Emory Kendall Bunting of Virginia Beach, his sister, Frances B. Bennett and brother-in-law, Gary P. Bennett, of Stonington, Conn., his niece, Christine F. Bennett of Barrington, N.H.; and his nephew, G. Paul Bennett Jr. of New York City.
An interment service will be held at the Bunting Cemetery, Chincoteague, Va., on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Bunting's memory to Hospice Volunteers, 4663 Haygood Road, Suite 211, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside chapel, is handling arrangements.
