I want to go on record as being opposed to the saltwater fishing license. I attended the meeting at the N.C. Aquarium Oct. 17. It was evident from the numerous comments voiced that the overwhelming opinion was also opposed. It was equally apparent from the moderator and Marc Basnight that passage and implementation was a ``done deal.'' Forget what the people may want, or in this case, NOT want. Here is another TAX source, another opportunity to build yet another level of bureaucracy, more regulations, more law enforcement officers, more pork to spread around to buy power.
Have these power-hungry legislators, bureaucrats and regulators lost their minds?
Haven't you, the hard-working taxpayer, had enough?
