MARION C. FRONKIER

Marion Elizabeth Coleman Fronkier, 74, died October 18, 1994. She was born February 13, 1920 in Anderson, S.C., and has been a Peninsula resident for 33 years. She was the widow of the late Chief Warrant Officer, Arthur T. Fronkier.

During much of her time on the Peninsula, Mrs. Fronkier was a homemaker. After her children were grown, she eventually retired as a manager with Merle Norman Studios on Mercury Blvd. in Hampton and Warwick Blvd. in Denbigh. She was also a member of the Emblem Club of the Elk's Lodge and was a volunteer at Riverside Hospital. Mrs. Fronkier was a Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Newport News.

She is survived by two brothers; Frederick A. Coleman of Hilton Head, S.C., and M. Jack Coleman of Greenville, S.C.; her children; James T. Fronkier of Hampton, Steven V. Fronkier of Charlotte, N.C., Cindy F. Whisnant of Raleigh, N.C., and Louis A. Fronkier of Newport News; four grandchildren; Julie F. Fiero, Sherry F. Morrow, Sarah M. and Stephanie N. Whisnant, and one great-grandchild, Phoebe N. Fiero.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 26, 1994, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Weymouth Funeral Home, 12746 Nettles Drive, Newport News. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 1994 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2150 Cunningham Drive, Hampton, Va. 23666, by Father Ellis Reinert of Saint Cecelia's Parish, Englewood, New Jersey. Burial will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.

The family asks that expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations, in their mother's name, to the building fund of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for the repair of the roof.
