GEORGE WILLIAMS

George Williams of the 2300 block of Tapscott Ave., a retired letter carrier, died Oct. 19, 1994.

Mr. Williams was born in Norfolk. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1977 after 30 years, was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street, and an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Williams; two sons, Bruce Williams of Atlanta, Ga., and Bertram Williams of Virginia Beach; and two sisters, Celestine McAllister of Norfolk and Juanita Lambert of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Bute Street, by the Rev. Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will assemble at the residence. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
