Sharon Sue Poston Popp, 40, of the 4800 block of Woods Edge Road, Virginia Beach, departed this life on Oct. 22, 1994, to live with Jesus through all eternity.
She was born in Saltville, Va., and is the daughter of William and Mildred Poston of Chesapeake. She had been employed as an optical technician with the optometrist offices of Dr. Michael J. Weil and Dr. Donald J. Stiles, Virginia Beach. She attended the Great Bridge Baptist Church of God, Chesapeake.
Other survivors include her husband, Albert Popp; her daughter, Brittany Marie Popp, of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Wanda Herder of Chesapeake, and Kimberly Coats of Norfolk; and one brother, William E. Poston Jr. of Chesapeake.
The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Great Bridge Church of God, 1280 Bells Mill Road, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Randy Woodan and the Rev. Calvin Twiddy. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, today from 6 to 8 p.m. and at other times at 1040 Sharon Drive, Chesapeake. Memorial donations may be made to the Brittany Popp Trust Fund.
