WILLIAM P. CORDLE

William Parker Cordle, 79, died Oct. 23, 1994, in Norfolk.

Mr. Cordle was born in Brunswick County, Emporia, Va. He had retired from the C&O Railroad. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, Portsmouth Naval Masonic Lodge 100, Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Norfolk and Khedive Shrine. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.

Survivors include his wife, Daisy R. Cordle of Norfolk, who he married June 14, 1947; a son, Otis R. Jones of Tallahassee, Fla.; three grandchildren, Michael R. Jones and Michelle R. Ollinger, both of Atlanta, Ga., and Leslie D. Jones of Miami, Fla.; two cousins, Ida Mitchell and William Edward; and two nephews, Randolph Evans and David Evans.

The graveside service with Masonic rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum by Pastor Herb Holton. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
