Dorothy Mobley Staples, 71, of the 5600 block of Springwood Drive, died Oct. 23, 1994, in her residence.
She was the widow of Frank E. Staples Jr. and was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church. She was also a past matron of Mariam chapter (NU)94, past president of the Scottish Rite Ladies, and Beasley Senior Citizens Club. She was a native of Rocky Mount, N.C.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Ann Naughton, and son-in-law, James P. Naughton of Virginia Beach; one son, Michael Andrew Staples, and daughter-in-law, Courtney Staples of Montgomery, Ala.; and three grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Western Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. George Mullinax. Burial will be at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. An Eastern Star service will be held today with visitation to follow at Loving Funeral Home, Churchland. Memorial contributions may be made to Estrol-O.E.S. or Frank E. Staples Scholarship Memorial Fund of America Fellowship Masonic Lodge (NU)148.
