TATEM APPOINTED

Senate President Pro Tempore Marc Basnight has appointed Damon Tatem of Kill Devil Hills to the Legislative Steering Committee on Fishery Industry Study. The committee will oversee the study on fishery industry by the North Carolina Sea Grant Program.

Tatem is the owner of Tatem's Tackle and Bait Shop in Nags Head.

``Damon has been involved with issues relating to the fisheries of North Carolina for many, many years,'' Basnight said. ``I am delighted and excited that he will be a member of this commission. He brings insight which is seldom found, and I am confident the committee will benefit from his membership.'' by CNB
