The driver of a white Ford Explorer plowed down a utility pole
Monday afternoon after he lost control of his vehicle as he drove
north in the 1500 block of Bainbridge Blvd. in Chesapeake Monday
afternoon. Traffic was detoured for hours as workers cleared the
area of utility wires. The driver, who was not identified by police,
was not injured. Police said charges are pending.
