Gus Grawitzki, Bebe Woody and Dawn Enochs, all of Manteo, have been named to the Roanoke Island Commission by Senate President Pro Tem Marc Basnight.
The commission was created to enhance the historical and cultural assets of the island.
Basnight also appointed Ronnie Capps, superintendent of Currituck County schools, to the board of the North Carolina Partnership for Children, and named Lawrence Gill of Swan Quarter to the Blue Ribbon Advisory Council on Oysters. by CNB
