Katherine Spangler Edwards, 66, of the 700 block of Gainsborough Court, died Tuesday at her residence.
Ms. Edwards was born in Roanoke, and was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Brown Spangler. She was pre-deceased by one son, Danny R. Ashley.
Survivors include one daughter, Katherine L. Ashley of Chesapeake; one son, Hugh A. Ashley of Chesapeake; three sisters, Madeline Turner and Ruth Jarrette, both of Roanoke and Ann Jones of South Mills, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday in Casteen Cemetery, Ballahack Road by the Rev. John Yoast.
The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge from 7-9 p.m. on Friday.
