WILLIE E. ROBERTSON

Willie E. Robertson of the 2400 block of Acorn St., a retired public works worker, died Oct. 26, 1994, in his home.

Mr. Robertson was born in Montgomery County, Va. He retired from the city of Portsmouth after 22 years, was a member of Noble Street Baptist Church, male usher board, Sunday School, Bible training class and senior missionary. He was vice president of the Cottage Prayer Band and a member of the board of directors of Cascade Retreat and member of the Foreign Equator Faith Mission to Haiti.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth V. Robertson; a daughter, Laura Marie Mitchell of Portsmouth; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Noble Street Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Ronnie T. Northam. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Corprew Funeral Home where the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
