THOMAS M. WHITE

Thomas Martin White, 66, of the 4100 block of Margaret Ann Court, a retired engineer, died Oct. 26, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. White was born in Portsmouth. He retired in 1989 from AT&T, Greensboro, N.C., after 39 years; was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and a U.S. Army veteran and paratrooper.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Ellenor White; two daughters, Vickie Lee White of Greensboro, N.C., and Mary Anne Lawrie of Grand Junction, Colo.; a son, Thomas M. ``Skip'' White, Jr. of Greensboro, N.C.; two sisters, Gwendolyn M. Davis of Portsmouth and Julia A. Fleenor of Chesapeake; and four grandchildren, Christopher L. Lawrie and Michael A. Lawrie, both of Grand Junction, Colo., and Shawn T. White and Brittany Lee White, both of Greensboro, N.C.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Chapel by Father Robert New. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family will receive friends at the residence from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
