TECH STUDENT ALWAYS SEEKING IDEAS FOR FIRST FILM

WHEN BRYAN GUTHRIE was 17, a play he wrote was one of 12 selected from a pool of 683 in the Dramatist Guild Young Playwrights Festival competition. His prize was a trip to New York City where he attended a reading of his play by professional actors and actresses.

Bryan is a dynamic person who never stops moving. At Virginia Tech, he has just completed performances of a play that he wrote and directed and is currently working on another.

In the future, Bryan wants to start a film company with his classmate Dave Kreutzer. For now, everywhere he goes, Bryan looks for ideas for his first film. In his eyes, all the world could be a stage.
