Kathryn E. Cushman Tillett, 86, of Wanchese, N.C. died Wednesday, October 26, in a Nags Head nursing home. Mrs. Tillett, a native of Jersey City, N.J., was a homemaker and a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose Cushman and the widow of the late Earl V. Tillett.
Mrs. Tillett is survived by three daughters, Rose Marie Hewitt of Norfolk, Eleanor T. Meekins of Manteo, N.C., and Hettie T. Cudworth of Wanchese, N.C.; She was preceded in death by a son, Ernie Vale Tillett.
Funeral services will be held at Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, on Saturday, October 29, at 2 p.m. by Rev. Billy Holliday and Rev. David Daniels. Burial will follow in the Cudworth Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
