Augustine Bartlett Reynolds Jr., 77, a retired lieutenant colonel, died Oct. 26, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mr. Reynolds was born in New Haven, Conn. He retired after 26 years as a U.S. Marine, where he served in World War II and during the Korean conflict in the 2nd Battalion 1st Marine Regiment; from the Inchon landing through the Chosin Reservoir and was commanding officer of the 2nd Tank Battalion Marine barracks in Yorktown. He was also a retired director of personnel at DePaul Hospital with 18 years of service. He was a member of the Lion's Club in Norfolk and president of Virginia Hospital Administrators.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy M. Reynolds; three sons, Augustine Bartlett Reynolds III and Peter Mark Reynolds, both of Virginia Beach, and Geoffrey Thayer Reynolds of Colonial Heights, Va.; granddaughter Sandra Elizabeth Reynolds of Virginia Beach; and grandson Geoffrey Gregg Reynolds of Colonial Heights, Va.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
