A 77-year-old Virginia Beach man who died of a heart attack Wednesday after his car was involved in a series of accidents on Interstate 64 was identified Thursday as Augustine B. Reynolds Jr., state police said.
Reynolds suffered the heart attack around 11:30 a.m. as he got out of his car to survey the damage. He was involved in one of four accidents, each with several vehicles, in the eastbound lanes just east of the Chesapeake Boulevard exit. Reynolds' doctor told state police that Reynolds had a history of heart problems. (Obituary, Page B6)
