A teenage girl was killed and three other people were injured in a two-car wreck in front of Smithfield High School on Friday.
The accident occurred on Virginia Route 644 at 5:16 p.m., state police said.
Two of the injured were airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The other was taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News.
The identities and ages of the accident victims were not immediately released, and no other details about the accident were available.
