George Herbert Edwards, Jr., 30, of the 600 block of White Chapel Drive, an electrician, died Oct. 27, 1994 in his residence.
Mr. Edwards was born in Virginia Beach and was employed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard Shop 57. He was a member of Little Creek Amphibious Base Catholic Chapel, an honor graduate of Frank W. Cox High School and the apprenticeship school of Norfolk Naval Shipyard, was an avid Admirals hockey team fan and enjoyed saltwater fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Lynn Edwards; his parents, Dorothy R. Edwards and George H. Edwards; two sisters, Linda Ann Asbell and Diane Marie Proescher; and a godson, Darrell James Asbell, all of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Little Creek Amphibious Base Catholic Chapel by Father Jerome Robinson. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. There will be a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Trust Fund-George H. He will be greatly missed and was loved by all.
