Jimmy Doohan, who played Scotty in the ``Star Trek'' TV show, signs
an autograph for a fan, Michael Chambers, Saturday at the Star Trek
Association convention in Norfolk, which continues today. Because
Doohan played chief engineer of the Starship Enterprise, he was
asked to escort fans to tours of the USS Enterprise, a
nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.
