Garland William Goodwin, 58, husband of the late Shirley Goodwin, passed away on October 30, 1994.
He was born in Roanoke, Va., and was the son of Charles and Frances Thomas Goodwin. Mr. Goodwin was a Protestant, and worked at the Baltimore Air Coil Company.
He is survived by three children, Christine Joanne LaPole and Jessie Raymond Goodwin of New Church, and Garland ``Eddie'' Goodwin Jr. of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Caroline Evans of Norfolk; two brothers, Howard Goodin of Gulf Shores, Ala., and Oscar Goodwin of Roanoke, Va.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church, New Church, Va., by the Rev. Joey Anthony. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery at Oak Hall, Va. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Arrangements made by Fox Funeral Home, Temperanceville.
