ROSALEA E. SHAFFER

Rosalea Eva Shaffer, 68, of the 1900 block of Redgate Drive, died Nov. 1, 1994, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mrs. Shaffer was a native of St. George, W.Va. She was the daughter of the late Sarah Pifer Metz and James Everett Metz and was the widow of Clifford R. Shaffer. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Chesapeake.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Shaffer Warren of Portsmouth; two sons, Robert W. Shaffer of Portsmouth and Gary L. Shaffer of Suffolk; two sisters, Virginia Herne of Baltimore and Betty Bukowitz of Houston; two brothers, Frank Metz of Odenton, Md. and Bob Metz of Grafton, Ohio; and four grandchildren, David, Bobby, Brian and Joshua.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Bruce W. Stutzman. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
