Marietta Cundiff Edwards, 75, of the 800 block of Norman Ave., died Nov. 1, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Campton, Ky. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, James S. Edwards. She was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church, past president of the Women's Society and worked with the Youth Fellowship of the church. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Ocean View Chapter.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Jane and Maurice W. Aldridge of Lancaster, Ky.; four granddaughters, Tammy Lea Conrad of Virginia Beach, Maureen Jane Sumner and Jamie Carol Miller, both of Chesapeake, Beth Marietta Aldridge of Lancaster, Ky.; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Jane Cundiff.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Miles Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Morris Bennett. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Miles Memorial United Methodist Church, Norfolk.
