GLORIA C. SNYDER

Gloria C. Snyder, 67, of the 600 block of Raff Road, a retired bookkeeper, died Nov. 2, 1994, in a local hospital after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. Snyder was born in Blacksville, W.Va., and was the widow of Russell A. Snyder. She retired from F.W. Woolworth Inc. and was a former member of Ocean View Baptist Church. She was a member of Tidewater Lost Chord Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post (NU)3160, USS Wasp CV-7 Stinger Club, Fleet Reserve Association Branch (NU)99 Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include three daughters, Joyce A. Ramos and Barbara J. Twiford, both of Virginia Beach, and Linda L. Wilson of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Robert A. Cage of Providence, R.I.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her close companion, Al Dempsey of Virginia Beach - thanks for being there when needed.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Joseph E. Brewer. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Crippled Children's Hospital of the Shrine or to American Cancer Society.
