MICHAEL C. CHERRY

Michael Carlton Cherry, 32, of the 5500 block of Springhill Road, died Oct. 29, 1994.

Mr. Cherry was born in Philadelphia and was of the Baptist faith. He was a retail assistant at the Military Commissary in Bicenza, Italy, for two years. He was honorably discharged from the Navy with the rank of AK3.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel A. Cherry of Bicenza, Italy; a daughter, Kenyona M. Cherry and a son, Michael C. Cherry II, both of Norfolk; his mother, Ethel Cherry and father, Bernard Cherry, both of Norfolk; a half-sister, Michell Cherry of Boston; two brothers, Eric P. Cherry and Bernard Cherry, both of Norfolk; a half brother, Mark S. Dukes of Philadelphia; grandparents, Bertha Cherry of Pittsburgh and Lottie Dukes of Charleston, S.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Mount Gilead Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Raymond Dean. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
