A. Byron Holderby, 88, of the 1000 block of Old Homestead Lane, died Nov. 1, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Holderby was born in Ruffin, N.C. He had retired from Nabisco in Raleigh, N.C., as a branch manager after 45 years. He was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church. He was past president of the Adult Sunday School class. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 51 ``The Dove Lodge'' in Richmond where he was a past master and member for 60 years. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Holderby; a son and daughter-in-law, A. Byron Holderby Jr. and Barbara Thiele Holderby of Springfield, Va.; a brother, Victor M. Holderby of Florence, Ky.; two granddaughters, Barbara H. Bostian and Anne H. Rylas; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Francis E. Collins and Dr. Charles H. Smith. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Park Place United Methodist Church.
