Willa Maris Tinkham Perry, 83, of Route 4, Box 396-A, a homemaker, died Nov. 1, 1994 in Guardian Care Nursing Home.
Mrs. Perry was born in Gates County, N.C.; the widow of Willie Lee ``Doc'' Perry; a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church, Eure, N.C.; and attended Hickory Chapel Freewill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 40 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Ina P. Harrell and husband, Brooks, of Asheville, N.C.; a son, John W. Perry and wife Rose of Ahoskie; a sister, Minnie T. Lassiter of Aulander, N.C.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Hickory Chapel Freewill Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert May and the Rev. Horace Culpepper. Burial will be in Cool Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times at the home.
