James Fate Free, 57, died Monday, Oct. 31, 1994.
He was a native of Pensacola, Fla.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Free; a daughter, Karen Free Miller; two sisters, Patsy Dick of Surfside Beach, S.C., and Laura Briggs of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church of Oceanway with Dr. Billy Strickland and the Rev. Jonathan Bowman officiating. Interment will be in Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the George H. Hewell & Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main St., Jacksonville, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
