HAMPTON SCHOOL BUS DRIVER FOUND FATALLY SHOT IN HIS HOME

Police are investigating the slaying of a man who was found dead in his home Thursday by a co-worker who came looking for him because he had not shown up for work.

The man's identity was being withheld until relatives could be notified.

Police went to the home in the 100 block of Clemwood Parkway about 2:30 p.m. The co-worker had called police, saying he went to the home after the man did not show up for work as a school bus driver.

The man had been shot in the chest. His body was sent to the state medical examiner's office in Norfolk for an autopsy.
