SALLIE M. MINTER

Sallie McGuire ``Na Na'' Minter, 70, of the 4700 block of Dermott St., retired owner and operator of Sallie's Beauty Salon in Chesapeake, died Nov. 3, 1994, in Chesapeake.

Mrs. Minter was born in Axton, Va., and was the widow of Thomas Nelson Minter. She was a member of DeBaun Memorial Baptist Church, past president of the Women's Missionary Union and taught Sunday School at the church. She was a member of Roaring 20's Senior Citizens, Norfolk Historical Society and Huntington Foundation.

Survivors include two daughters, Marcia E. Wingate and Amy M. Myrick, both of Chesapeake; two sons, William N. Minter of Hampton and Charles Keith Minter of Chesapeake; three brothers, Elijah McGuire of Eden, N.C. and Harry T. McGuire and Obie McGuire, both of Axton, Va.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Donald R. Joyner. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence. Mrs. Minter may be viewed at the funeral home after noon today. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, American Cancer Society or Gideons International.
