EVA R. BLAND

Eva Lottie R. Bland, 86, of the 2700 block of Mapleton Ave., died Nov. 3, 1994, in Norfolk.

Mrs. Bland was born in Belvidere, N.C., and was the widow of Lewis B. Bland. She retired 31 years ago from the Department of Engraving, U.S. Treasury Department, after 36 years of service. She was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church in Norfolk.

Survivors include two sisters, Ada V. Thomas of Suffolk and Marie White of Long Island, N.Y.; and cousins, Miles Riddick, Major Riddick, Walter Riddick and Minnie Nelson.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Queen Street Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Peter M. Wherry. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in church at 10 a.m. The family will assemble at her residence. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
