Janice Riddick Newsome of the 7500 block of Gates Road, died Nov. 2, 1994, in Obici Hospital after a long illness.
She was a native of Southampton County and retired from the Gold Kit Factory. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William Newsome; a sister, Ruth R. Olds of Franklin; and a brother, Ernest Riddick of Franklin.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Suffolk, by the Rev. George Smith. Burial will be in Piney Grove Church Cemetery, Newsoms. The family will assemble in the home of Mrs. Ruth Olds, 35282 S. Quay Road, Franklin. William M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling arrangements.
