Police said Friday they had overestimated the amount of money fraudulently collected in a Bingo scratch lottery game scam.

A spokesman said the amount is now believed to be between $7,500 and $10,000. On Thursday, police said the amount was between $75,000 and $100,000.

The scam, which started in July, involves changing the validation codes of losing $2 tickets to winning tickets worth $25.

Police are looking for Richard A. James, 46, of the 100 block of Suburban Parkway.

James, is white, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Another suspect has been arrested and charged.
