Sarah Hemby, 76, of the 1700 block of Weaver St., died Nov. 2, 1994.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, South Hill, and the choir and a member of the Silver Strands. She was the widow of John T. Hemby.
Survivors include nephews, Augustus Riddick and E. Alexander, both of Virginia Beach, Luther Riddick of Chesapeake and Judoson Riddick of Newport News; nieces, Sally Coleman of Baltimore, Md., and Rose McDonald of Chesapeake; and a brother-in-law, James Riddick.
A funeral will be conducted at 1p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, South Hill, Chesapeake, by Pastor Michael Toliver. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Pretlow & Sons Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
